Therapeutic Style
I integrate tools from DBT, EFT, psychodynamic therapy, and Gottman Method (Level 1) for couples. My work is trauma-informed, strength-based, and always client-centered.
-
Between Sessions
You may receive tools, reflections, or exercises to support your progress and keep the work alive outside the therapy room.
-
How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Couples Therapy
Strengthening Connection Through Compassionate Support
Who is couples therapy for?
Couples therapy is for any two partners looking to improve or better understand their relationship. I work with married couples, long-term partners, dating couples, co-parents, and those who are navigating separation or divorce. I welcome couples of all backgrounds, identities, and relationship structures, including those who identify as 2SLGBTQ+. This is a space where you can feel safe, seen, and supported.
What do we focus on in therapy?
Couples therapy can help you:
Improve communication and deepen emotional understanding
Navigate conflict resolution more effectively
Rebuild trust after ruptures or betrayals
Manage parenting stress and changing life dynamics
Reconnect when feeling distant, unheard, or alone in the relationship
Using evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method (Level 1 trained), I help couples identify patterns that keep them stuck and create new ways to connect, repair, and grow together.
Where do sessions take place?
Couples therapy sessions are offered in person at my private office in Port Perry and virtually across Ontario via a secure online platform. If you're located in the Durham Region or surrounding areas, in-person sessions may be a good fit.
