Hello, I am Sarah, the creator of Guiding Compass Psychotherapy and Wellness and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with over 25 years of experience supporting people across the lifespan. I offer a safe and supportive space for healing and growth in the heart of Port Perry. I specialize in helping children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and the complexities of neurodivergence with compassion and understanding.
Using evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I tailor each session to meet your unique needs and goals. My work focuses on helping you uncover patterns, strengthen emotional resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

As a Registered Psychotherapist - Qualifying, I provide a warm, collaborative space where adults, teens, and couples can explore life’s challenges and work toward meaningful change. My background — which includes experience in both the military and helping professions — has shaped my deep respect for resilience, adaptability, and the courage it takes to seek support.
I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-doubt, and relationship challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, creating a space where you can be truly heard and supported. Grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centred approaches, I tailor each session to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful patterns, build coping strategies, and develop self-awareness to create greater balance and fulfillment.
